Google Sitemaps

I haven’t used Google Sitemaps before, but figured it couldn’t hurt after I saw this article by Andre Chaperon showing how there’s a simple plugin to get an XML Sitemap made for blogs using WordPress… so I gave it a go. Hopefully Googlebot finds its way to this blog and realizes there’s a page here newer than the one it found on March 30th when it last visited. :-)

After doing a sitemap for the blog, I also created one for Incomemax.com. As that site isn’t a blog, I couldn’t use the same tool to create a sitemap, so found this free Java Sitemap Creation Tool online that creates one for you.

With any luck, that’ll get the search engine bots sniffing around. :-)

    No worries Neil,

    I just created a sitemap with the same plugin in wordpress, supplied it to google and got listed in 3 days!

    Not bad for a newbie.
