It's not. The affiliate needs to pre-sell the product, to talk about it, to excite the visitor so that their clicks to the merchant site become sales. It takes time and effort, but the reward is in the sales. :-) The same applies for your mailing list... you need to sell people on signing up... offer them a quality report or freebie. Only one month, but I seem to be getting al lot of impressions through Google and Yahoo and a few other search engines, but not too many conversions to sales.
