Ken McArthur’s watch has been exposed as a digital!

In the blog post, Ken says how he got feedback telling him to ditch the old digital watch and get with the times. (LOL!)

So, I thought I’d post my entry in the “Which Internet marketer has the worst digital watch?” competition.

The email application, Eudora, is now an open-source project after Qualcomm decided to stop selling it and turn the code over to the open source community. If you’re looking for a free email application, Penelope (the new name for the Eudora project) could be worth checking out.

Michael Cheney has had a string of successful products launches (Adsense Videos, Michael’s Traffic Secrets, 11 Days to List Profits)… got married to Laura… bought a country estate in Scotland worth close to a million dollars AND gone on eight vacations recently!

Can someone steal your specific Adsense code, paste it into a junk website and give your Adsense account a bad reputation… or worse, get it banned?

It seems like it’s a possibility because why else would Google set up a system letting Adsense Account owners specify which websites their ads can run on?

“We’ve learned through your feedback that some AdSense publishers are concerned about potentially malicious behavior on the web, such as having their ad code stolen, to be placed on an inappropriate site. To give you more control and security concerning ad code, we’ve recently launched the Allowed Sites list.

The Allowed Sites list, which you’ll find by clicking the Allowed Sites link under your AdSense Setup tab, is the place for you to list sites or URLs where you want to allow your ads to appear. Sites that aren’t on your list can still display ads using your ad code; however, impressions and clicks for these sites won’t appear in your reports, advertisers won’t be charged, and you won’t receive any earnings from them.”

You should. Apparently your “bounce rate” affects your site’s quality score at Google… which means your Pay Per Click costs and your organic search rankings will be determined, in part, by your bounce rate.

Google say, “A high bounce rate indicates that the page is not well matched to the ad or link that is driving traffic to the page.”

“Bounce Rate: Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits (i.e. visits in which the person left your site from the entrance page). Bounce rate is a measure of visit quality and a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance (landing) pages aren’t relevant to your visitors. You can minimize Bounce Rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run. Landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised in the ad copy.”

What can you do to decrease your bounce rate? Make your site attractive, have content on the pages your visitors land on that matches what they were looking for and give your visitors a way of interacting such as leaving their thoughts/comments.

Terry Telford has come up with a way for you to offer people a membership site as if you were the owner, but without the hassle of updating, admin, creating content etc etc. The site is called “The Business Professional” and you can buy one of a limited number of licenses which allow you to sell memberships to The Business Professional.

So instead of being an affiliate who earns a percentage of membership sales, you buy a license upfront and then keep all the monthly fees of the memberships you sell. You can even set up an affiliate program and split revenues with your affiliates who sell memberships!
