Grab My Free Blog Commenting Tool… Real Link Finder
I’m really excited to announce the launch of my “Real Link Finder” software.
It finds “on topic” blog posts where you can make comments and leave “Real” links back to your website… links that counts for link popularity and PageRank.
The reason I call it “Next Generation” is that the software only returns blog posts that already have comments but don’t use “nofollow”.
(”Nofollow” means that any links you leave in comments at the blog won’t pass PageRank. By searching for blog posts that already have comments, and then throwing out the ones that use “nofollow”, Real Link Finder gives you cleaner results than other blog commenting software)
More links = Better search engine rankings = More traffic for you!
And the best part? It’s 100% free. No strings. No painful signup process.
To get your copy of this advanced blog commenting software, click here!

Thank you for handing out this blog finding tool!
This far I’ve only used it for one day, but I have already made about ten comments on related blogs.
It’s definitely a tool I will use on a daily basis.
Since I don’t have to spend time searching for blogs, writing the comments is well invested time with high return when considering the backlinks I get for my sites.
I will definitely recommend this tool on my site.
February 10th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
Thank you very much Neal,
A great tool, at a great time for me also. I’ve been working on my link building and thinking how to use blogs to my advantage, but with the nofollow, It seemed like a guessing game.
Now I’m not wasting my time.
Thanks again. >>>>>>>Great marketing on your part also
February 10th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
Thanks for the great feedback, Thomas and Tony.

February 10th, 2008 at 4:45 pm
Neil,
Thank you for the software. A few moments ago I was just enjoying giving it a spin. A couple of suggestions–first, it might be nice if blog page rank were also a search parameter, and second, if we had the option of allowing blogs with “nofollow” in their comments links.
Thank you again for the tool!
February 10th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
Thanks for a very useful tool, Neil. Agree with the comment above. It would be nice to see the page rank of the blog.
February 10th, 2008 at 5:36 pm
I see I need to add this to the FAQ..
I’ll look into PageRank more, but I’m not sure it’s feasible or within Google’s ToS. If I did include it, I’m not sure it would work for long.
Adding a nofollow “toggle” is a good idea, thanks Evan.
Neil.
February 10th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
Thank you Neil for making your software available. I have downloaded it and will give it a spin.
I’m curious as to how your software differs from the Comment Kahuna product?
Regards,
Doug
February 10th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
Hi Doug,
If I remember correctly, Comment Kahuna doesn’t search specifically for blog posts with *existing comments*, so I believe Real Link Finder’s results are much more accurate because “nofollow” is most likely to be used in the links people leave in blog comments.
Initially I don’t think Comment Kahuna even checked for nofollow. In their demo movie they show a PageRank 6 result, “hairloss.about.com”, but they use nofollow.
Oh, and I think RLF is also easier to use… and it highlights the keywords you searched for on the blog post in the preview pane… so you don’t have to read the whole blog post to see where they mention your keywords.
Neil.
February 11th, 2008 at 12:03 am
Thanks for the quick response Neil. That’s a good point about where your software looks to find for the nofollow attribute (i.e. in the comments section of the post page vs in the body of the post). That is a significant distinction.
Now that I’ve had a chance to use your software, I also like how you allow the query to search for results containing a varying number of comments ranging from 1 to 5. That really helps to hone in on blogs that are likely to be the most relevant for your search. Good job.
February 11th, 2008 at 12:59 am
Neil, thank you for giving away such a valuable software. I really like how it finds the blogs not using no-follow so quickly.
I can see this having a positive effect in my link building. Real Link Finder works great.
I also have Comment Kahuna but I think I’ll be using yours from now on.
Thanks again,
Chuck
February 11th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Sweet! That’s a great endorsement. Thanks Chuck!

Hi Neil,
Thanks for creating such a great tool.
I understand it only works on PCs, is that right?
Any chance of getting it to work for Mac users…?
That sure would be real nice…
Thanks again
Martin
February 11th, 2008 at 10:57 am
First, thanks very much for publishing this tool for free!
Second, a suggestion and/or question: would it be possible to change the option for how many existing comments RLF looks for to a range, i.e. making the number I select not the *exact* number of comments RLF looks for, but rather the minimum? Or does it already work that way and I just don’t get it?
Thanks again
Tom
February 11th, 2008 at 11:11 am
@ Martin… the Windows version cost me about $3,000. I don’t think I’ll be requestion a Mac version, sorry!
@Tom… that’s a good idea. I’ll see if we can code it. At the moment it searches for the number you request.

Hi Neil,
My first experience was that I loved the concept but saw no real results - in my choice of keywords.
I chose just the one comment, but would rather not place a restriction on this.
Surely just a case if there are comments good and if not, only add yours if a very new post.
Otherwise all I got was a 2006 post to comment on…..
February 11th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
Neil-
What a great concept. . . a client I work with, www.candyconceptsinc.com, and I are always looking for new and innovative ways to work the SEO game. This looks like a real winner! I’m excited to try it out and harness the power
A very informative movie, a great product at a great price. . . perfect!
Thank you so much for your hard work and your investment into the cause.
Take care,
Kyla
February 11th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
@ Noel, you may want to try more generic keywords.
@ Kyla, you’re welcome!
Neil.
February 11th, 2008 at 3:52 pm
I was very disappointed with the results that came up, even when I asked for just one comment and to search 100 blogs. One of my websites is on dog training and when I asked to search 100 blogs with one comment, only 4 of the 13 results actually were on dog training. The others had the word dog or the word training somewhere on the page.
Then I tried retire in Mexico with equally disappointing results.
I tried “dog training” with quotes and got no results.
Back to Comment Kahuna, at least for now. Wish you well.
February 11th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
Hi Neil-
I still have not received my unlock key though it’s been about an hour or so. . . I resubmitted my email a couple of times. . . hmm. . it would be great if you can remedy this.
Take care,
Kyla
February 11th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
@ Kyla, I’ve emailed you your key.
@ Rosana thanks for your feedback. We may have to permit boosting the number of blogs you can search through to above 100 to get more data. Let me check into it.
By the way, I searched for “dog training” in quotes, requesting 100 blogs with 2 comments and got 8 results.
Neil.
February 11th, 2008 at 5:40 pm
Thanks, Neil. I just repeated your search exactly and got ONE blog. It was a good one, though, and I got sidetracked reading some great content.
I wonder if the difference in our results could have anything to do with your being in the UK and my currently living in Mexico. Firefox is my default browser, but I doubt that would be pertinent.
BTW, when I find a blog, sometimes there is another post that I would rather respond to (whether or not it has comments), and is it reasonable to assume that in virtually all cases that will yield me as good a link?
Best,
Rosana
February 11th, 2008 at 5:57 pm
Hi Rosana,
Hmm, it may be a geo-specific thing, I’m not sure.
Yes, if a blog with comments (and links in the comments) is returned by Real Link Finder, you can assume that the other posts on the blog will be “nofollow-free” too. It doesn’t matter if the other posts have existing comments or not.
HTH
Neil.
February 11th, 2008 at 7:23 pm
Hi Neil
Downloaded the Real Links Software and whilst it’s not brilliant at finding huge amounts of of blogs, it’s free (we love free) and it will be a useful tool to use alongside others.
As an example, my website is (I hope) optimised for internet home based business idea so I used the keyword “home business” and it reuturned about 5 blogs when searching for 100.
Not over the top but they looked to be good quality and I’ll see how I get on with links.
However - the big selling point is the software IS free so I’ll make the best use of it I can
Thanks
February 11th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
Thanks for the feedback, Geoffrey. Even free software has a price.. the time taken to install and configure it. I’m glad you’re happy with the price.
Neil.
February 12th, 2008 at 12:02 am
Wow! This is useful. This is worth a bank full of money.
And it’s FUN! Another stellar gift. Thank-you!
February 12th, 2008 at 12:58 am
The tool doesn’t work, I posted to 4 blogs, and I got nofollow links.
[editor: Niko, you most likely won’t get instant links back… the blog will most likely be moderated.]
February 12th, 2008 at 1:40 am
Neil,
great software but I have one question? Why isn’t your baby in the video.
[editor: Because he’s 7, and he won’t sit still long enough!]
February 12th, 2008 at 7:37 am
Hi pals,
[editor: snip… blah blah blah, self promotion]
February 12th, 2008 at 7:55 am
Hey Neil,
As I was reading this post, I thought to myself, “Ok, how much is this going to cost?” I was pleasantly surprised that it costs nothing. I am going to try this out right now. Thanks a lot!

You’re welcome.

Hi Neil,
This is a great software and I am going to use it. I will recommend it to my friends.

Neil - You said that if we posted here, we could find out how to co-brand this freebie so it can be given away on our own website. Could you please tell me how to do this? I work with a lot of bloggers and think this would be a valuable tool for them.
Thanks!

Hey Neil!
Thanks for a great piece of software!
One thing I’d like to see from a layout perspective is to see all the “fields” be on the left hand side (as opposed to on top), and then a bigger browser window on the right, so I can see the page easier.
(I did a little mock-up to show you what I mean: http://www.TheMagicOfTesting.com/reallinkfinder.jpg)
Can this be done? That’s the only improvement I can think of at the moment (at least it would help me…)
Thanks for a great software - and for making it free!

I feel like I just stepped off the Space Mountain at Disney. My head is spinning from the combination of a strange website, a program that is totally confusing, with a commentary that is so rapid, and the speaker who drops every T in a word containing a T that makes translation into real English very difficult. So I’m going to move on and pretend that I was never here.
I think that’s a bi- be-er than toast and bu-er.
February 12th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
Hello,
This software has a very ill-mannered installer.
When I install software, I expect to be ASKED:
1. Where I wish to install the app,
2. IF I wish to have a desktop icon,
3. IF I wish to have a Start Menu Group, and
4. If I DO wish a Start Menu group, WHAT to NAME that group.
I intensely dislike the high-handedness of “we made the software, we know how we want to put it on your computer.” This kind of thing is a Microsl** trademark, not what I expect from people who know how to program.
No. No. No.
It’s MY computer, MY tool, and I do NOT appreciate installers just coming in and changing my setup without so much as a by your leave.
These questions are particularly important under Vista, because Vista makes the changes that might take a few seconds under XP drag out to as much as half an hour.
Ask me:
1. Where do you want me to put this app? It does ask this.
2. Do you want a desktop icon? It does not ask.
3. Do you want a Start Menu group? It does not ask.
4. If you want a Start Menu group, what shall I name it? It does not ask.
VERY ill-mannered installer. Next time, please ASK the user these important questions instead of blithely putting things that are not wanted on, and putting things that are wanted in the wrong places with the wrong names.
Thank you in advance for your attention to these important matters.
Warm regards,
(Ms.) Marty Nicholas
February 12th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
@ Jonathan… Good idea. I think it would work best on widescreen monitors. You can currently resize the app to fit your monitor by maximizing it.
@ William. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Honestly. I’m English, I pronounce my “t’s”. Am I missing something?
@ Marty. You’re right, the installer should ask you those things. However, the more things the installer asks, the less likely people are to install the software. I thought simplicity was best.
Neil.
February 12th, 2008 at 10:25 pm
Neil;
I thank you for giving away such a valuable software. One of the most important point , in my mind, is to find blogs with a no-follow tag.
I can see this software being a real plus in my quest for effective links.
Like most I also have Comment Kahuna however your software has many mor options which makes it my 1st choice in blog linkbuilding.
Keep up the good work!
February 12th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
Neil,
This is a great find. Thanks!
What do you think about putting keywords you want to rank for in the Name box (instead of your name) to help the SEO progress along?
Ted
February 13th, 2008 at 3:47 am
Thanks for the great software. I have been looking for something like this. I’ll be checking to see what else you’ve been up to on your blog (and bookmarking it).
February 13th, 2008 at 5:35 am
Hi
I do like to use the software, but…
It don’t accept the key. There is also not an unlock.dat file in the installation directory, so I can’t do anything. I’ve .net v2.0 installed on my windows system.
As per suggestions: I think it would be very helpful to inform about the page rank for each blog. Why waste the time with non-performing blogs?
Otherwise, your software seems to be a good idea.
Kind regards
Rainer
February 13th, 2008 at 5:38 am
Hi Neil,
Great FREE software. Love to see it expanded to a paid version and be competitive with some of the commercial products out there. I love the auto-fill feature, and the number of comments to search. I think it would be nice to show nofollow and follow blogs, as some people may want to post on those as well, as high traffic blogs could generate free relevant traffic and links too.
February 13th, 2008 at 7:03 am
Sorry mate
bunch of crap so far -
You can see I’m in pianos…
And I’m not looking for faults -
but
as keywords, I have tried variously:
“piano”
“pianos”
“piano lessons”
“piano music”
“buying a piano”
and then
“piano tuning”
“baby grand piano”
set for 100 blogs
tried 5 “existing blog comments” then 3 then 1
and result was SAME SIX SITES for first 5 keywords
NIL for piano tuning
NIL for baby grand piano (….oh really ???)
and finally some obscure girly thingy - for whatever I tried next but can’t recall - cos there’s no autofill for all the previous keywords to be retried - you gotta type em all in again, hmmm
Anyhow -
Got my hopes up -
but didn’t accomplish much at all
sorry……..

February 13th, 2008 at 9:19 am
@ Rick, thanks for your kind words.
@ Ted, I doubt there’s much SEO benefit in it to be honest. I think the blog moderator is going to be less likely to approve your comment, which outweighs the SEO benefits… especially if you take the time to write a valuable comment, as I suggest. Why risk getting it rejected?
@ Vitallywell, you’re welcome.
@ Ranier, one other person has reported this. Could you please send me full details of your operating system and anything else you think is relevant to admin AT realinkfinder.com?
@ Steve, I’ll be looking into creating a “toggle” for follow/nofollow. Thanks for the suggestion.
@ Ozpianoman, how many on-topic blogs with existing comments that don’t use nofollow were you expecting for “baby grand piano”? I say in the quickstart tips to “Pick a common/generic keyword”.
February 13th, 2008 at 10:03 am
Neil, what a great man you are.
It’s an amazing software, thank you very much.
Grab useful links is an amazing way to increse traffic & popularity.
February 13th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
Hi Neil,
I just downloaded the software and gave it a try, twice, it didnt get back many results for my keywords - 4 in fact (technorati gets hundreds for the same words - well 189) and a quick skim of the pages returned shows that they are not relevant, whilst a skim of the technorati results found more sites immediatly that were relevant to post to. This could simply be my choices…
Thanks Neil,
cheers
Pete
February 13th, 2008 at 12:38 pm
Pete, the software only currently searches for Wordpress blogs, so, naturally, technorati will have more results. I’m not sure why the results you found weren’t relevant though… presumably they matched your keywords.
Neil.
February 13th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
Hi Neil,
Thanks for your prompt reply. The wordpress bit explains somewhat the difference in quantity. There are a lot of Oracle blogs which is what i was loking for on Oracles own blog site and a lot more on blogspot, blogger etc.
Yes of course the words were there but not in context of what i wanted. For instance one was a blog about about SQL Server but it happened to mention Oracle.
Thanks
Pete

@ Marty - CHILL OUT! He’s giving you free software. You can make a suggestion, but don’t be nasty about it, as you have been.
@ Neil - I am on a widescreen monitor - I have maximized it, but I end up staring at the bottom of my screen to use it, which wouldn’t be a challenge if my workspace was a little more ergonomic… anyway… was just a thought.
Thanks again for great software!

Hi Neil,
I like this software. It’s hard to wade through the ocean of blogs and find the ones that are similar to yours. This really helps me with that task. Of course as you would expect I do have some questions. Why is it limited to searching 100 blogs? If you have to have that, how can I get it to search the next hundred? There must be a hundred billion ones out there. Using the tool gives me the impression that I’m looking at only a few. Other than that I found it very useful.
Thanks for having it be free.

February 14th, 2008 at 5:42 am
I just downloaded the software and haven’t started using it yet. Just wanted to say thank-you in advance. Even if the results follow the median of the comments that means I will be finding quite a few blogs to get links from that i would have spent hours search for on my own. i love saving time. will report back with my results and comments.

It’s a useful tool for anyone who likes posting blog comments and I’m delighted for you that so many people think your software is wonderful but their enthusiasm betrays a worrying lack of SEO knowledge. The fact is that the back links will have little value because the link text is the author’s name rather than a search-keyword.

Hi Neil and Linda,
Thanks for the great software.
I have just installed it and only tried it once, but it is excellent.
It would be even better if it kept track of the blogs that have been posted to. Is that a feature that you would consider adding?

@MickeyBlueEye, I disagree. Just because the link is the author’s name doesn’t mean that the link doesn’t provide SEO benefits through passing PageRank and increasing linkpopularity. It would be nice to choose the link text too, but that’s not really feasible at other people’s blogs.
@Frank, yes we can consider adding that feature. Thanks for the feedback.
@Eoin, welcome back.

Hi Neil,
Your software only searches the source for the term “nofollow” correct? So it returns blog posts that may not have any comments that are linked, but the blog does in fact use nofollow.
[Neil’s comment… yes, that is a possibility, and I mention that in the FAQ… http://www.reallinkfinder.com/faq.shtml
“As you search for blog posts with less existing comments, it’s more likely you’ll find blog posts with comments where the people who left the comments didn’t leave links to their websites… which means that the blog post may show up in Real Link Finder as a “false positive” because Real Link Finder didn’t find the “nofollow” attribute”. ]

Hi Neil:
Yeah, I’m going to be excited to try this for my salsa oriented blog. That particular blog actually isn’t monetized at all but I am planning on both narrowing it’s focus and start some blog on other subjects that I think I can monetize more specifically.
I’d very much like to have a branded copy of the software for my own because I do think there’s a lot of salsa oriented website and blog owners in that business to whom this would sound very interesting.

Neil,
Very neat tool, already used it to post on a number of collectible book related blogs. Very curious to see how the results pan out.
Posting on blogs was something I had on my todo list for our new site, but had not figured out a smart way to find the “right” blogs that were relevant. Real Link Finder was the perfect solution and I am sure we will be using it often as we expand our site. FYI we found you through the folks at xsite pro in a recent email they sent out.
Cheers,
Michael

Neil,
Looks promising, but as I am using a router modem, I am not able to use it. It resets the modem every time I run it.
Is there any way around this? I am using a Speedstream router.
I would still be happy to promote it through my blog.
Cheers,
Sharon

@ Art, I’ve sent you a unique link to a branded version of RLF.
@ Clickbankmoney, Thanks and you’re right, no spam!
@ Michael, Thanks. I hope you get results like Ron did… “from #6 to #2 on the first page of Google!”
@ Sharon, I don’t see how my software could affect your router. It does check with my server when the application opens, but that would be a normal web-call, nothing unusual. Perhaps you need to configure your router or firewall to let Real Link Finder check with my server? Thanks in advance for mentioning it at your blog.

Hi Neil
youo software is something I have been looking for however it doesn’t find anything no matter what keywords I type in. Any thoughts? I’m typing in architecture, interior design, architectural design.

Hi Kim,
Just type in “cats” and see if it works. If not, you may need to configure your firewalls to let RLF “talk” to the Internet.
Neil.

Wow, this Real Link Finder is the best thing that I’ve seen since Auto Income Secrets! Thanks, Neil, for making it available at no cost. I heard about this through Paul Smithson at Xsitepro. Look forward to increasing my links, incoming traffic and SEO ratings.

I’ll join in the praise. I’ve used one other blog post tool to promote my massage business and I really like your software. It’s great that you look for the no follow in the comments page. This is somewhat of a time consuming strategy, so you need to be sure you get the most benefit from your efforts. Good work Neil! (Oh yes, free is most excellent too!
