I Was Wrong About The Stomper Launch, Darnit.
I guessed wrong when I guessed Frank Kern was behind the Stompernet Launch…
“Frank Kern just did a giveaway and hoped to have people sign up for his monthly program. Frank was involved in the first Stompernet launch. Is it possible that the Stompernet guys could be “ethically bribing†you with the new product if you join their monthly program? Could it be… “our spanking-new monthly print Journal called “The Net Effectâ€â€¦? Hmmm. ”
Frank said, in a recent email…
“P.S. I usually have an “inside line” when it comes to StomperNet’s launches. After all, I’ve worked closely with them in one way or another on just about every major promotion they’ve ever done.
But I sat this one out. (I just got 2,000 new customers and my focus has been on taking care of them.)”
OK, so if it wasn’t Frank, who was it?
In steps Mike Filsaime with a new movie where he says he was asked to go to Atlanta to give some advice to his friends Brad Fallon and Andy Jenkins. Apparently they had a think-tank and the result is the promotion you see… the giveaway of Stomping the Search Engines 2 if you agree to try their monthly newsletter (first issue free, billed monthly thereafter).
It seems like Stompernet had a launch problem and took down their order system until Thursday, 4th September.

I was all gungho waiting for the launch. I got 20 or so emails from different sources about the launch. It’s too bad they couldn’t handle the traffic or whatever went wrong. May I never experience the same thing when I have a big product lanch!

Even though the sales page is now live, it doesn’t seem to be working well.
I just tried to buy (through your link Neil) and the order form first rejected my phone number (it won’t recognise spaces) and then told me I had to enter a State, even though I’m in the UK. When the order button did finally ‘work’, the page refreshed, taking me straight back to the same order form.
So now, I have no idea whether I’ve ordered or not – and haven’t had an email confirmation.
Do you happen to know a support address?

Hmmm, I’m very surprised they ran into such issues. I can understand servers going down, but problems with the order form?
Martin, I’ll email you the only contact name I have…

Just read this from Dan Thies…
“If you’d like to know how an outsourced developer can completely screw up a shopping cart by using an outdated XML API that the vendor still publishes… it’s an interesting tale, but for another time when I am not so tired.”
LOL.
This stuff is so complicated nowadays, it makes me long for Infoseek.

So when is Stompernet gonna be out? These kind of projects are always more complicated than first thought.

As far as I’m aware, it’s available now.

Is this some kind of bait and switch situation your purchasing from them so they will have credit information.I don’t think so.

Hey, Martin, this should help you.
“There’s a number to call on every page if they have ordering problems. There’s the “stse2support@stompernet.com” email address that has 8 people handling issues full-time.”
I emailed you, but didn’t hear back.
Neil.

What a setback. Having issues while launching a new product/service. That is pretty unlucky. SEO Services

Hi Neil,
Oddly, your email never arrived. Strange, because we don’t normally have delivery problems.
Would you mind resending please?
I did find that email address and sent them a message yesterday (Friday morning), but have had no reply so far. Perhaps their six people are swamped!

neil,
[sorry i did not see a contact for for you, so I am using the lame way]
you have that well-establish article about paying off your mortgage.
I think it might help some readers to add a couple extra points:
1. loans are designed so that 99% of your first month’s payment goes towards interest, etc… And since the average family moves every 5 years, guess who’s getting seriously rich?
2. mention alternative payment strategies like HELOC’s and such. These can cut payoff times by 30 – 50% if I am not mistaken.
if you gots any questions, feel free to email me

The Stomper guys have come through with a pretty impressive offer again. The Stomping the Search Engines DVD looks like some great content, and the magazine looks like it should be a great way to get Stomper content at a good price.

I actually purchased their package, along with the monthly subscription, on September 4th.
It is now September 17th and I have not gotten it yet.
Now, I know Andy and Brad to be genuine because I bought their “Stomping the Search Engines 1″ package a couple of years ago and it arrived ok, and was good, solid information. So I don’t expect that the delay is caused by ill will on their part.
But something had definitely wonked out, as it’s been two weeks.
Best,
Greg
