Dofollow blogs and dofollow comments
So I guess I’m on a few lists of dofollow blogs.
I don’t mind that. If you leave a valuable comment, you’ll get a dofollow link.
Heck, I even offer software that searches for dofollow blogs at Real Link Finder Finds Dofollow Blogs. We’ve issued 13,341 unlock keys for that software, so it’s mighty popular… probably because I give it away.
But, please, if you want a link, follow the instructions when leaving a useful comment. Stuffing the “name” field with keywords will just result in your comment being deleted. Leaving a “canned” comment will just result in your comment being deleted.
By the way, I hope you also notice the lack of advertising at this blog. People have offered to buy links and I could easily add advertising for a bajillion products, but I haven’t. This is an advertising-free do-follow blog.
I hope to keep it that way, with your active participation.

Neil,
I love this tool. Thanks so much for providing it for free.
Even though I specify ‘dofollow’ in my desired results I do get blogs with ‘dofollow’ mixed in.
Am I doing something wrong?

Excellent idea, I just registered for the software and I will leave feedback for people. It’s always difficult to find related sites that are dofollow.

Hi Joel,
You’re not doing anything wrong.
If the blog post where you want to leave a comment already has one or more comments… but none of those comments contain backlinks, Real Link Finder incorrectly reports the blog as NOT using nofollow.
It can’t tell that the blog DOES use nofollow, because no-one who left a comment left a link to their site.
I hope that makes sense.
Neil.

Neil,
Thanks so much for the clarification.
That makes total sense.

Now that you mention it, there isn’t any advertising on this blog. I’m surprised you haven’t taken any, when you could make so much money. That’s awesome, you really put the reader first.

Great post. It is very informative. Thanks for the useful information which allows me to know more about Do-Follow. Hope to see your new posts soon.

Jake is so right. Why don’t you do some advertsing here? Is there any reason for not doing so?
Btw, glad to find your do-follow blog. You seem to be one of the few blog owners to realize that ‘do-following’ blogs can actually work in their favor!!

I tried the software..but cudnt get many links

Lexis, you’re not going to get lots of results from Real Link Finder. It searches for blog posts on topics you choose that have comments but don’t use nofollow.
It’s a very restrictive search.
Treasure the blogs you find.
Neil.

It’s a very nice tool indeed , thanks neil

Hi! thanks for sharing it. I think it’s better to have an do-follow blog with anti spam plug in than no follow blog. Internet is about linking. IMO.

I just got your software, I’ll test it in a bit and leave another comment for the result.

‘This is an advertising-free do-follow blog. ‘
Well there’s not many advertising-free blogs about unfortunately, although there is a surprisingly large pool of dofollow blogs
And why not – spread the link love around

Hi Neil. I tried your Real Link Finder and it’s very useful. However, it generates results with blogs that are not updated anymore (the last posts of the blogs were in 2007). But regardless of the results, I still appreciate how you share the Real Link Finder for free. Thanks.

Awesome software, got lots of link through it.
Thank You so much for Sharing it and giving some useful info about Do-Follow

For those who are having problems finding links: Use 5 for existing blog posts and a high number like 100 for the number of blogs to search. Otherwise program tends to find nothing. Once you increase those values, you get some results.
Thanks for this great software!

Everyone loves dofollow links especially webmasters. Thanks for the tool Neil. This will certainly improve my number of dofollow links development.

I just love this software. I paid $97 for a similar piece of software that didn’t even distinguish between Follow and No-Follow Links.
Thanks, Neil.

Hi Neil,
Thank you very much for the software. It has a lot of potential
although at this point I agree with somebody’s comment below
“I think this is a good bit of software but am I correct in seeing that it is limited to searching 100 blogs or am I missing something? I’m struggling to find anything on my keywords? “

Many blogs come under dofollow but actually are nofollow. Wonder if they got the thing wrong or thing isn’t working.

Tim,
I already explained this, above…

If the blog post where you want to leave a comment already has one or more comments… but none of those comments contain backlinks, Real Link Finder incorrectly reports the blog as NOT using nofollow.
It can’t tell that the blog DOES use nofollow, because no-one who left a comment left a link to their site.

I have been searching the web for Do Follow blogs..hardly found any..!wished to have visited your blog early..could have saved time..!anyways thanks for the link..! and thanks for the instructions on leaving useful comments..!
November 25th, 2008 at 1:24 pm
I’m going to be very honest with you
Yes, I found your blog from a dofollow blog directory
Yes, I comment because I want to build some links
And yes, I’m going to provide valuable comments in the future too.
Thanks for being generous by helping other Internet Marketers. I think that’s also the reason that you choose to turn your blog into a dofollow blog.
Anyway, I’m here for the first time. Feel great to read your post
November 26th, 2008 at 5:02 am
Yes I did understand that. At the time when the Real Link Finder spiders through if there are no links in the comments, it takes it for a dofollow. The thing is even in blogs where they say ‘the following is a list of dofollow’, many are nofollow. All these while I thought those lists were made manually by sitting and searching for them. Guess they use something like Real Link Finder to search for dofollow blogs and hence the problem.
November 26th, 2008 at 11:15 am
Hi Tim,
I guess.
I don’t create those lists.
Neil.

Err, whats wrong with some advertising? I don’t think anybody is going to run away because you started showing a few ads. Great blog, btw. keep up the good work.
November 27th, 2008 at 8:11 am
Loved the idea, I just got a do follow link!
Thanks.

>Err, whats wrong with some advertising?<
I don’t like how lots of little “sponsorship” logos spread over three columns make blogs take forever to load.
The way blogs are set up, the homepage is long anyway, before it gets cluttered with ads.
One of the most famous blogs I just visited, I counted TEN ads on just the homepage.
It’s just not for me.
Perhaps one, real, sponsor would be OK. Not nine ads on the homepage though. Yuk.
Neil.
