We created a new ebook around outsourcing and were initially going to sell it for $67, but instead decided to “parcel it up” as a Private Label Right product called Biz In A Box.
My thoughts were that people who were interested in the ebook topic would buy it, AND people who were interested in the option of reselling the ebook (which comes with a squeeze page and giveaway report, a sales letter for the ebook and professional graphics).
I’m wondering, though. Have I devalued the ebook by offering it as PLR? Maybe. I thought it would help people start their own businesses, but perhaps the concept of PLR is so devalued, I should’ve simply offered the ebook as a standalone guide for beginners to outsource using elance. There is an awful lot of rubbish packaged up as PLR and it’s possible people see my new ebook as just that, which would be a shame as the ebook is of very high quality.
I guess I’ll stick to selling my ebooks as standalone products in the future.
