Blogging Underground Review

Blogging-Underground

I’ve just completed a video review of Blogging Underground by Mike Liebner. In the video I make a few points that I want to expand on…

When you use Blogging Underground you get to create links inside blog posts and have them appear on individual blogs across the Internet, some of which are general, and some are topic-specific. It’s important to know that the BU system is very powerful. The in-content links you build are some of the most powerful links your site can get, especially if you choose rich anchor text.

You should use BU to build a few links at a time, slowly, because having many in-content rich-anchor text links appearing all over the Internet pointing at your website, especially if it’s new (see my blog post on Google Bowling), is asking for a Google “over-optimisation” penalty. So, my recommendation is to use BU links in moderation, along with other link-building systems (press releases, article submissions, RSS directory submissions, link directory submissions, blog commenting, social bookmarking etc) so that your site has a natural link profile.

Having given you that “heads up”, I highly recommend getting access to BU because it’s one of the few ways you can get the most desirable links (in content, rich anchor text) which can seriously help your ranking as part of a good link profile. Watch my video review here, and take Mike up on the special offer.

What did you think of the video review and offer? I’ll leave comments open for a few days… :-)

  1. Hey there Neil! I just read your post. And I am about to look at your video review. As an internet marketer myself, I have to ask “What do you mean exactly when you talk about blog commenting using “Rich Anchor Text”? Or were you being broad and looping the term rich anchor text across all spectrum’s of link building?

    • Hi David,

Just to be clear, it’s not about “blog commenting”… it’s about blog *posting*. :-)

By “rich anchor text”, I mean you get to choose the anchor text, like if you write your own blog posts and link out within a blog post. So an example would be, I like Neil’s Internet Success blog, where “Internet Success” is the rich anchor text, as opposed to if I had used “click here”, which would be anchor text, but not worth as much from an SEO perspective.

      Neil.

  2. Seems like a good product for the up and coming newbie to try.

  5. Hi, I like your article. But I particularly do not like to use BU links. The are others kinds of links that also can be used without having so many restrictions, that’s my opinion. Thanks.

    Greetings.

    • Hi Maria,

Thanks for your thoughts. In what way does BU have “so many restrictions”? Do you mean how they require you to write 120 words per post, a maximum of two links per post, only one link to any individual webpage per BU blog and “No Spam – No Adult – No Illegal or Hateful content posting is allowed in our network of announcement blogs”? I think those rules maintain the quality of the network and hats off to Mike for maintaining quality over quantity.

      Neil.

  6. Actually, I like the rules on BU – it keeps out the spam that typically plagues other networks.

A good demonstation, thanks Neil. I find there are so many systems and software out there that any marketing campaign needs to be planned, exceptional, and repeated over time. I was impressed by the recent launch of Traffic Travis, and actually bought it. Perhaps I was won over by the release of a high quality (and free) ebook on IM a couple of weeks before the launch. I tend to be more intersted in research tools rather than systems that do the job automatically – as I want to learn how to do the job rather than get something do it for me. I find testimonials from recognised and trusted people who have no vested interest in the product can be persuasive. Also, something like a 60 day money back guarantee helps to tip the balance. Hope that’s helpful.

Do Not use this service if your site is less than 1 year old. You will definately experience Google’s over-optimization penalty. I am using BuildMyRank with a site that is a couple of months old and all of my “rich anchor text” keywords were moving micely towards the upper pages along with my site visitors when, one or two days before Neil’s article on Google Bowling, every one of my 30 or so keywords dropped out of Google’s top 100 and my visits dropped to ZERO. BEWARE! And I write my own quality content.

    • Hi Bob,

I think webmasters should use BU, but be aware that Google has turned up its over-optimisation filters and BU users (and anyone using any artificial way of building links) need to be more careful about how many they build and when. I did notice, when using BU, that the blog posts were scraped by other sites and instead of building just 4 links, I ended up with at least 12 because of the scrapers, all of which included the rich anchor text. As I said in the post, rich anchor text links are very valuable, but need to be sprinkled into a diverse link profile.

      Neil.

I like you for the simple reason that you ask for opinions in a person to person way I love. Keep it real!

    Thanks Neil,
I am not done viewing both videos yet but I am starting to understand the concepts being presented. I am a newcommer to Internet Marketing although I have been experimental with it for about the last four years. I recall of how a few years ago you introduced me to a tool called Link Finder and I used it a while until my harddrive crashed. Both that and this that Mike is offering information on seem to be more value for guys going my speed…and Thanks so much for making the videos available…especially as a Download.

  11. Hi Neil,
Excellent review, you tell it like it is!

I joined BU a few months ago and I am very pleased with the service. Mike Liebner is a very personal marketer, like you Neil and I really appreciate that.

What I like about BU is that you can choose from over a 1000 blog sites that have different IP addresses.

I create posts from snippets from my websites content and write about 200 words minimum per article which I am able to include my rich anchor text right in the article itself. Actually Mike has video that shows how easy it is to set up.

Later you can copy the url post and go to a few select bookmarking sites and promote that link. I’ve found that it adds reinforcement to my blog post article, which Google likes.

Of course there are other ways to promote your site but the quality of links are pretty impressive from BU.

    Have a great week end.

    Curt

Hi Neil, Hoping you read this comment as other attempts to contact you haven’t worked. I bought the big list building PLR offer through your clickbank link (my nickname is dreardon and name Dale REardon) and you were going to create a special PLR product for people as your bonus. Have you done that yet and where and how can we get it?

    Thanks,
    Dale.

  13. Thanks alot! I’m new to blogging and I was getting discouraged about it. The information that you provided about blogging was really helpful. I’m off to the drawing board, but I will be back to update you on my status.
