Way back in history, I got a Ph.D. from the University of Dundee. The scientific research I did looked at the expression of GSTpi in breast cancer cell lines to try to understand why there were differences in the activity of the gene in drug resistant and drug sensitive cell lines. Perhaps with that scientific background in the back of my mind, I created a website tailored to a UK audience about the scientific gifts that are available. I think it’s much better to give a science-based gift and expand the imagination of children than to give a “bleep bloop” toy which falls apart in minutes.
